aggregate explores the play of tension and the tension of play. ink marks arrive on the page with immediacy — mark to paper — while graphite lines probe boundaries, testing both edges and confinement. though precise, these gestures are not about precision but about interaction, the charge between materials, the negotiation of space across and between them.
these drawings gather like ions — attracting, repelling, building and holding — small accumulations that become sites of energy. in their simplicity they point to the fragility of form, the fleetingness of mark, and the possibility of uncovering meaning within what might otherwise go unnoticed.
